Meet Joe

I'm Joe Anderson, leader of Liverpool Labour. I am fiercely proud of the city of Liverpool and the people who work and live in it. I want what is best for our city, and I want to see Liverpool thrive as the international city it deserves to be.

Yet when I look at Liverpool, I don’t see a city united and working together. I see a city which is divided between the haves and the have nots. I see a city which misses out on so many opportunities to grow and thrive. And I see a city which lacks the leadership which drives so many other British cities forwards.

But I want to change this. I want to lead Liverpool proudly forward into our future. I want to lead Liverpool and fight for the opportunities which so often go elsewhere. I want to make sure the people who need the council’s help most receive it, and that the service they receive is of the highest quality.

I want to work with every single person in Liverpool to make our city a more prosperous, less divided, cleaner, greener place to live, work and play.
